my interest in pixel art
a growing amount of potential interests of mine involve using art to better express myself, my feelings, and the world around me. in terms of a visual medium to do this, i've often focused on pixel art. while i didn't really grow up with the NES or SNES era of video gaming. i think pixel art just holds a warmness, and intimacy of some sort?
for one reason or another, a lot of the other avenues of expressing myself though other mediums than writing has never happened much. or it seems to quietly fade out of my life. sometimes, like photography one of those lost mediums of mine finds its way back. but the ever growing urge to express myself naturally pushes me towards areas i've not explored at all
one thing i'm typically good at when not able to take upon a new skill or interest, is an ability to collect resources for when i am ready. so that's where i've been mostly with pixel art. whether it be resources to create pixel art, awesome stuff like color theory or a general understanding of drawing, or inspiration for my own style of expression through the video games i might play
for now, my familiar friend words is here. and my old but loved friend photography has shown her face to me again. so for now, this will do. with the understanding and excitement of possibility always being around
